Goldie Locksley & the Three Bearsley’s Tales from the Kingdom of Yore

Goldie Locksley, age ttwenty-one, lives in a secluded wilderness area with her beloved family, but she needs more. She needs to connect with people her own age, and maybe meet a guy.  With tears streaming down her cheeks, she runs away and finds herself chased by a bear. Thankfully, she stumbles upon a ramshackle of a cottage and meets three more bears. With no choice, she takes refuge inside. Being exhausted, she falls asleep and wakes up to three grumpy people with three grumpy pet bears. They implement  the backwoods style of justice and she remains their prisoner.

An injured man named Slade finds himself lost and hides near the cottage. Because of no fault of his own, he hides in the forest wearing only a coat. He speaks to Goldie staying hidden, and she finds him to be just as grumpy as the Bearsleys and bears. Without meeting him face to face, she leaves him food and water every day and they speak from a distance when it is safe. The Bearsleys would bring out their shotgun if they knew he was out there.

Maybe living in seclusion isn't such a bad thing after all. Are all people grumpy? How will she ever escape?
