But as they become friends and their families grow closer despite their political differences, they must navigate many events of the time including the fight for women’s rights, the aftermath of World War 1, The Jazz Age and The Great Depression. As Jonathan and Gillian fall in love and rebel against their par-ents by pursuing their dreams and moving to New York City, they always have each other’s support, no matter the challenges they face.
