William C. Wertz is currently Political Editor of The Oklahoman, the state's largest newspaper. For many years he was a political correspondent and bureau chief for The Associated Press, covering the legislature and government in Illinois and other states. He has also been a corporate communications executive for a major energy company and a director of media relations and international media relations for a top retailer.
