Lorin Cassowary and her friends plan on spending their 16th summer getting driver’s licenses, finding part-time jobs, partying, learning about life. The plan evaporates and Lorin is glumly resigned to stay with her pregnant aunt in a village on the shores of a large lake. She loves her aunt, but Tiny Town, as she calls it, has no cell service, no Internet, no cable TV! How could she learn anything about life in this throwback to the last century?
